Reflexology

Reflexology is thousands of years old – there are variations from Ancient China, India, Egypt and the Americas. There is evidence from the Incan civilisation 12,000 years old that is still practised.
Reflexology as we know it today was developed by Eunice Ingham, a physiotherapist, she coined the term, and she is credited with mapping the foot and hand charts we see today and also devising the classic thumb and finger walking technique that is used,

Reflexology is performed on the feet, hands, head or the ears with the therapist’s hands using differing amounts of pressure.

In Francisca’s clinic a session will last from 30 – 60 minutes, depending on the focus of treatment. It can be incorporated into a therapeutic massage, with time spent on the feet, through reflexology, and whatever areas of your body need attention.
