Francisca started Ambrosia Botanicals in the mid 90s, back when she was Kathy Bull.
Her recipe is based on a 3000 year old recipe, known as a Galenical – the base of which is Olive Oil, Beeswax & Rosewater and Lanolin.
There are 4 Ambrosia products – Gardener’s Cream, For Your Skin, For Your Hands & For Your Hair.
Gardener’s Cream is heavy-duty, great for cracked heels, dry and very dry hands (like from concreting) it will take a few minutes to fully absorb, and you won’t need very much
Ingredients: Cold-pressed olive oil, lanolin, beeswax, borax, infusion of comfrey leaf & calendula petals, essential oil of Rose Geranium
For Your Hands is a lighter hand cream, and it also great as a nappy rash cream, for non-weepy eczema it can be used on mild sunburn.
Ingredients: Cold-pressed olive oil, lanolin, beeswax, borax, infusion of chickweed & lavender heads, essential oil of Lavender
For Your Skin is a moisturiser, great as a night cream, it’s also a body moisturiser (awesome in the winter) and of course you can use it on your hands
Ingredients: Cold-pressed olive oil, lanolin, beeswax, borax, purified water, essential oils of Sandalwood, Geranium & Lavender
For Your Hair is used for hold on short hair, and is fantastic to calm down frizz, and it has the added bonus of conditioning your hair – you can also use it as a lip balm!
Ingredients: cold-pressed olive oil, beeswax, essential oils of Rosemary, Geranium & Lavender.
The beeswax and olive oil are certified organic, herbs are sourced from Francisca’s garden which she manages organically and spray-free.
